My Thrift store finds! and My first item up on Etsy!

Hey guys Im really excited I finally got my stuff together and began posting my little pritties on Etsy for you! Im Super stoked about this you can see my first add by clicking on the Mini Etsy on the left down below! On another note I found some adorable things at my last thrift store run with my Mom and Brothers.

 I Loved this cute red frame? thing? tiny little spice rack and bulky old picture frame!

 I also have a thing for this frilly silver frames after a coat of heirloom white and Glaze they are so Delicious!

 Excuse My garage! but I wanted you too see how much that red one looked like a mustache :) Im going too add more board and make a chalk board for my kitchen! Im really not sure what it was use for before.

One coat of heirloom white down.. 3 more to go Cant wait until they are complete.

Money Saving Monday! And my New coupon Addiction

Guess what guys I got 3 coupons in the mail today for 6 free cans of the expensive kitty food my two brats tend too love more! all for calling Purina and asking them why they put taurine in there food  ( I guess its too enhance eye color) according too the rep I spoke too. SO super awesome each coupon has a dollar value of $3.30 thats almost $10.00 In my pocket. Have you written or called any companies yet? and if so, Which ones?

SO This post was not intended too be about cat food but since i just got around too my mail i had too share. this post was about my new addiction.. One Simple way too save yourself some cash every monday! (First Edition)

I had a friend mention too me once how she saved using coupons, I was too lazy and not broke enough too "Waste my time" but now 3 years later Im a Wife working full time and tending my very own home and husband who works full time+... Oh how the years have changed and every .50c coupon looks soo beautiful! But not only have I developed a desire too save.. I have developed a serious desire too use my organizational skills and shop smarts too save over 50,70, 90% on my Grocery bills... And I believe that I definitely can do this. So as my small start toward this goal I have challenged myself too call at least 5 manufactures a month and ask a question about there product which is always answered followed by, Would you like some coupons sent too you? Yes Please *Smile*  So too keep this post Simple and Short my first letter arrived today. from Energizer ( Who I contaced from the 1-800# on my box of tampons, Who knew!!! hahaha! and In closed where these beauties!

Wow I was expecting $1.50 off or $2.00! at the right time I could use these too get 2 boxes for FREE! I cant wait too see What comes in the mail from fabreeze! and Tide! Who will you call?

Beautiful crate displays

                                                                                       
If you havent guessed it by now I love crates! the older and shabbier the better they bring fabulous good and necessary goods from here too there they bring fine wines and beautiful floral arrangements too.. but finding these wood crates in a world of plastic isint as easy as i had imagined it would be... I found these 3 wood structures at 3 different thrift stores didnt pay over 50 cents a piece and i love them! but i had looked for weeks too find small crates before stumbling across these ones! you can ask my patient mom and sister *Big Smile* of course the local antique stores have similar items for $30+! Outrageous! I didnt feel a tutorial was needed too explain how i get them Shabbied too perfection! Ill just explain in writing and if you have questions you can ask!

(Im sorry in advanced for the low quality photos, there was some camera drama in the Crate house My nikon D40 was dead batt, my husbands Pentax is awful in my opinion i felt like a monkey with a 25 pound rubix cube, and his iphone was my only hope, not wanting too postpone my post any longer i chose the I phone)

Do you love these vintage tags as much as I do? I have the MOST fun making them!Also the perfect accidental mix of paints provided me with lots of the sea foam green you see above chippy and happy :)

 

Below: Are the paints i used but before I used these I coated all 3 pieces in 2 coats of Heirloom White by Rustoleam not a nice job just a quick spray i even intentionally missed some spots! Then I coated all 3 pieces in the crackle medium sloppy job there too followed by  dumping half the bottle of the blue and greeen and mixed just for a second I wanted some of the colors too show here and there...   and a quick coat over the dried crackle medium!

I Love the way they turned out! What do you think? Im debating on using a bit of stain on the edges before i clear coat them.... tell me what I should do! (These Crates and stand, are for use as displays for my etsy store)

The Painted crate takes Big STEPS!

Im sitting here 12:57am in my pj's, wrapped in a blanket super excited, because my little blog just put on its big girl panties and purchased the domain, because im quite frankly sick of writing on www.thepaintedcrate.blogspot.com on all of my gift tags and items for sale....
