Frequently Asked Questions


Q: How do I specify a pick up order to avoid paying shipping costs?

A: After you enter your name and address, the next checkout screen shows the shipping options. Select "Will pick up" from the drop down list. Contact us for pickup location and pickup time and we will provide you with directions. We are located in Oviedo, FL, near the University of Central Florida.

Q: What forms of payment does The Painted Crate accept?

A: We process payments securely through PayPal. PayPal accepts Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, and Electronic Funds Transfer. You do not need a PayPal account to pay through PayPal.

Q: Can I send a personalized message with my gift baskets?

A: You can send a personalized message with your basket by clicking on the picture of the gift basket and filling in the Personalized Message box below the gift basket. Your baskets will arrive with your personalized message on a gift card.

Q: What if my gift basket arrives damaged?

A: We carefully pack every gift basket, but items may become damaged due to circumstances beyond our control. Keep your packaging materials and call or email with a description of the damaged item and we will replace it with an item of equal or greater value.

Q: Do you offer shipping insurance?

A: All of our gift baskets are insured against loss and damage during shipping at no extra cost to you.

Q: How do I contact you with a question about my order?

A: Send an email to kim@thepaintedcrate.com or call 407-803-2062. We normally respond to questions within 24 hours on weekdays. 

Q: When will my order be shipped?

A: You will receive an order confirmation immediately after your order is placed. Items will generally be shipped within 1-2 business days of ordering. If for some reason it takes us longer to ship an item, we will notify you by email or phone. You will receive a tracking number by email as soon as an item ships. 

Q: What if an item is out of stock?

A: Because our gift baskets are unique, we may have only limited numbers of items, so it is possible that an item will come up out of stock. If this happens, please contact us as we may have a similar basket available.
